The ultra-modern Trans Delhi Signature (TDS) City has been designed as a smart, self-sustained city. UP Industrial Policy 2017 Highlights (Tronica City)

The incentives include:

  1. Stamp Duty Exemption: 75% exemption in Madhyanchal.
  2. EPF Reimbursement: 50% reimbursement of the employer’s contribution for new industrial units that provide direct employment to 100 or more unskilled workers.
  3. Capital Interest Subsidy: 5% per annum for 5 years, reimbursed on loans for procuring plant and machinery, with an annual cap of INR 50 lakhs.
  4. Infrastructure Interest Subsidy: 5% per annum for 5 years, reimbursed on loans for developing self-use infrastructure like roads, sewer, and power facilities, with a cap of INR 1 crore.
  5. Research and Quality Improvement Subsidy: 5% per annum for 5 years, reimbursed on loans for industrial research, quality improvement, and product development, with a cap of INR 1 crore.
  6. Electricity Duty Exemption: 10-year exemption for all new industrial units in the state.
  7. Electricity Duty Exemption for Captive Power Plants: 10-year exemption for new units generating electricity for self-use.
  8. Mandi Fee Exemption: 5-year exemption on raw material purchases for new food processing units.
  9. GST/VAT/CST Reimbursement: Reimbursement of VAT/CST/GST on plant and machinery, building materials, and other capital goods, as well as raw materials where input tax credit is not allowed.
  10. Additional EPF Reimbursement: 10% additional reimbursement for units employing a minimum of 200 direct workers.
  11. Incentive Cap: All incentives are capped at 90% of fixed capital investment in Madhyanchal.

Conditions:

  • Incentives apply to new units and expansion/diversification projects, with mega category projects processed individually for incentive structure finalization.
  • Incentives for mega investments are capped at 200% of fixed capital investment in Madhyanchal.
  • Units benefiting from other state policies can still avail these incentives if similar benefits are not already received from another policy.
  • A negative list of industries ineligible for incentives will be identified, but already committed incentives will be honored.

Units that qualify for other state government incentives can still benefit from this policy, provided they do not receive duplicate benefits from another policy. If incentives are committed before an industry is declared negative, those commitments will be maintained.
